Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 June 2026

Availo ("we", "us") operates the availo.work platform for independent professionals and the people who send them booking requests. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, profession, and profile information you provide during onboarding.
  • Booking data: shift dates, locations, messages, quotes, and invoices exchanged between professionals and bookers.
  • Credentials: professional registration documents you upload for verification (stored securely; reviewed manually in production).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide booking, quoting, and invoicing features
  • Send transactional emails and SMS (e.g. new requests, quotes, confirmations)
  • Sync availability with connected calendar services (when you opt in)
  • Improve the product and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising networks.

Sharing

When you use Availo, relevant booking details are shared with the other party in a thread (e.g. a pharmacy manager sees your quote; you see their organisation and contact details). We use service providers (hosting, email, storage) who process data on our instructions only.

Storage and security

Data is hosted on infrastructure in regions used by our cloud providers. We apply encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to hello@availo.work.

Retention

We retain account and booking records while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You may request deletion of your account — contact us and we will action within a reasonable period, subject to records we must keep by law.

Your rights

You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. Contact hello@availo.work. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions only. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
